Pumping iron isn't just for the guys. Strength training increases lean muscle mass and improves bone density, making the weight room a great place for women, too. Each three-week session of Women on Weights begins in the classroom and progresses to hands-on lesson in the room. You'll learn about machine and free weights, cardiovascular fitness, nutrition, stretching, balance and a whole lot more.Women on Weights is offered three-times a year at Waco Family YMCA.
